Damane Gypsum is making waves in the industry with its new plasterboard production unit in Sidi Tiji, creating jobs, empowering local communities and setting new standards for the African market.
Belonging to Damane Group, Damane Gypsum inaugurated its first plasterboard production plant in Morocco to meet national and continental construction market needs.
The company announced on Thursday, February 22, that the industrial unit would open within the following two weeks in Safi Province, creating 150 direct jobs.
This facility complements its integrated production chain, which includes quarries and concrete plants, totaling more than 1,000 jobs nationwide. This initiative is part of a diversification strategy and industrial expertise development.
The project aligns with the national vision of industrial sovereignty by prioritizing local production to reduce imports. It also supports industry decarbonization and export growth under the Made in Morocco label.
